A very dark sugar syrup made from Japanese unrefined Kurozato(black sugar). Similar to molasses, but thinner and milder.Mainly used for dessert.

Take care when soaking to not over do it or they will become too soft and disintegrate. Make sure rolls are tight and sealed before frying.
